DavidR8's shop shenanigans

Not all of it is like that so I think for the most part it was well oiled but not all of it.
I don't know what's under the paper as I can't reach it with out dismantling the crate. That will happen tonight.
I heard once that the containers on the seaward? outside stacks on the container ships can be more prone to leaking and rust damage if the seals are weak but yours looks like it was lashed to the top of a rowboat.

I'll wait and see what it looks like when I get it out of the crate and have at it with some oil and steel wool.

Ok out of the crate and on the floor.
The rust is all surface and comes off easily. Some staining but I’m not too fussed about that.

The mill cleaned up pretty well.
They are offering compensation so we shall see.

Nice job cleaning up that rust. I guess it looked worse than it was in the photos. I had a vise that came in looking like that once and it also cleaned up ok but left some black staining. I didn't complain because they tossed in the vise for free when I bought the milling machine.
