My Keen Cincinnati boots are the most comfortable pieces of footware I own. I've long been a fan of Keen footware, they just fit my Wide flippers much better than others. I also always run 2 insoles as well. Like standing on a cloud....After a shift, my feet are generally the only thing that doesn't hurt.
That's the one good thing about the crocs. They always come off at the door.... Less chips in the house. Anything more than just puttering around out there, I prefer to be in boots. Hot chips on the feet, or welding sparks, are not a fun time...Never tried the Womans clothes. Can see some merit in a skirt though, more airflow over the radiators....I remember reading a story about the british road crews that started wearing dresses when found a loophole in the rules after they were not allowed to wear shorts on the job....
Now, Metalworking......Casehardening.....Anyone done any? Do I want an airtight seal, or would a slightly ventilated case be fine/wanted to let gasses escape. I'm thinking I can make a sliding lid for the top held on with one bolt so that I can get it off quick and easy to quench rapidly. Just unsure of how fussy I need to be making the fit for the lid......Or if I need a gasket in there. I could also make it a wedge shape with a draw bolt too.
