Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Yeah, that one is my 'screw the mill' lathe. I have a DDP quote of $3130USD or $4200CDN.

Ok that's a big plus in the 290 column....
For sure, all of them are ELS candidates in my mind. The 290 has the advantage of separate drive and lead screws.
The CX701 dimensions are 55"w x 27"D.
My SB was 51"W x 39"D
As you know it was the depth that was a deal killer. A full 12" shallower makes a huge difference in a 9ft W x 13" L space.

Speaking of Weiss and totally off topic (of course) anyone have any idea of how to convince the browser to not take up half the page with the menu selections etc. Literally half the page is useless.

I'm not sure exactly what you are asking John. When I look at your photo, only the top two bars are driven by the browser. The rest is driven by the website.
