I’ve got a Makerbot replicator 2x that I haven’t used in a while, the last time was a good year ago when putting a computer fan on my mill in the basement

although this is not mine, I have printed one of these. Just need to put the shroud on, and it will be fully functional.
printed in two pieces. I have 390mm's of Z height which has increased recently with the purchase of new linear rails to probably around 480mm. this is a rough estimate though.

I have a Prusa MK3. Ordered it as a kit and assembled. Great Great machine. Only issue I have had with it was when I updated to the latest firmware. Downgraded to previous version and working like a charm. Added a raspberry Pi with a printed case attached to the frame with a camera.

Raspberry pi with camera excellent! Very interesting. Can you control the printer at all or just observe it? Let’s see some pictures. Was it a kit? Your design?

I use the pi flashed with astroprint. It worked better for me then octoprint. I can observe and control from anywhere I’m connected to the internet. I bought the pi3 as a kit. Camera separate and an extra long ribbon cable for the camera. The case for the pi I got off thingiverse and I designed my own camera mount. I’ll take pictures tomorrow..

I don't often print unattended as I've had some prints come loose on the bed and make a mess. My uncle-n-law has the same printer as me and has done the Pi /camera to monitor and loves it (enables watching Netflix from the couch and watching print in iPad

Lots of open source options , many integrated options . We use repetier as our frond end
