Back in 1981 a coworker and I traveled to Tokyo to check out a piece of equipment that Hershey bought for development: we needed to run some preliminary tests to determine if we could justify air freight instead of sea (things went well and the equipment almost beat us home).

Be patient, I’m getting there.

On Saturday we decided to do some sightseeing (and find a McDonald’s my buddy had seen earlier in the week where he wanted to get some “American” food). We walked around, heading in the general direction of where we thought the McD’s was (we eventually found it) and along the way visited the Emperor’s Gardens. He needed to empty his bladder, so followed the signs to the toilet facilities (we already knew that Oriental toilets were different (even in offices it was a hole in the floor that you squatted over). However, the facilities in the Gardens blew us away: he came back me and said, “Go take a leak,” and I told I didn’t need to, but he insisted so I followed the signs.

Almost there!

The path lead to a small grotto, with what looked like a tombstone in front of the opening. On the back side of the stone there was a hole: you stood behind the stone, facing outwards with a beautiful view of the Gardens, inside the dim light of the grotto and shielded by the stone so no one could see anything. That’s what you need to construct in your yards.

We have acres of big trees. Our problem was not getting the kids to conserve water, it was getting them to not conserve water in town.

Back on topic.... some wall organization for my battery tools. I just finished relocating these to a new wall.

The toilet paper is used as small wipes and the 5 gallon pails fit perfectly under my cupboard. There is twelve of them with small off cut somewhat sorted.
I also have a 5 gallon tower for my light plastic off cuts. ABS,PVC, delving,hdpe, Teflon......
That tower save me lots of floor space.
Some might want to set up a bucket tower.for a pissing contest , not my thing.

I've had the plastic anchor for the handle on a 5gal pail harden and break more than once. Something to think about.

My pail collect has gained enough heavy stuff that lifting is out of the question. Even sliding them around is a struggle. I wish had kept more metal pails.

Considering the state of my workshop, that is the most I can offer to this subject.

God damn i hate those crappy plastic handles. When some cow critter has really pissed you off while feeding the ungrateful pile of walking hamburger, you try to respond in kind, swinging a bucket at the offending said walking hamburger causes the plastic handle to snap. The colder the weather the quicker the snap. I do have a very small stash of all metal pails, reserved for special occasions.

I wish had kept more metal pails.

I have no metal pails.

Many of my plastic pails have heavy wire handles. The handle doesn't break, the plastic anchor in the pail does. Most have plastic handles that break much more easily.

Bacck off topic just for a minute.

Last Sunday a gentleman came from about 70 miles away to pick up something, and the first thing he did upon alighting from his car on my 100-acre farm was head straight for my raspberry bushes.
Apparently, he doesn't know a raspberry from a hole in the ground....
