The motor shaft is bigger on the new motor, and the pulley doesn't have enough meat in its bore for enlargement. I am contemplating just going with a single step pulley. The other option is to take the motor apart and turn down the end of the shaft and put in a new keyway.....
Any suggestions?
East peasy! Just write down the options, pin them up on the lucky decision maker behind the drill press and have your better half throw the dart!
....wish I had 20 bucks in my pocket.I got $20 that says you can't figure out what I left in your yard last night!
The lights look good though! LOL!

..... didn't think I would be alone in this meeting....Hi Don!
(chorus of voices seated in a circle)
I was hoping for a little more power than I got for my efforts thus far,
Gasoline would yield far more power than propane on this setup.I swapped in an Offenhauser intake and 4 barrel propane mixer on the old 300 six
Was it injected directly into the combustion chamber or just ahead of the valves at the ends of the intake runners? I would think that you are still trying to keep the charge air as cool as possible. One of the things we learned in our testing was that boiling the propane after it got into the intake system significantly increased the density of the charge. The result was almost like using a supercharger or a turbo. That's also one of the reasons why we moved to liquid propane injection instead of a vaporizer.
It would run gasoline, except the truck is already setup for propane, and now that I have a Cummins to swap in I am losing interest in toying with it a whole lot more. But I do intend to rebuild the motor and repurpose it again in the future in another project.Gasoline would yield far more power than propane on this setup.
And, in Alberta, we use tarp straps to hold our battery down...
But, I am down to 3 or 4 lathes now.Not one but TWO shapers..
