@David_R8 Does the 8" table you bought have this problem? You can see the handle just touching the mill table. The rest of the rotary table is sitting flat. The bevel on the front on the mill table makes it look like it's not but it is.
However to actually clear the table with the handle I'd have to add a spacer or turn down the handle just enough to get rid of the index marks and numbers. Machining an absolute flat 1/2" steel spacer is likely the best solution.


I've pivoted the table in a way to show the issue. When I want it to line up with the T-Slots that part of the rotary table sticks way out.

Thanks Peter. Being that the 8” and 10” sets only two plates they must have to be be this size to accommodate all the necessary hole combinations.

I’ll have to hoist it up onto the mill table to see.

Gotta say that I’m super impressed with the table. Fit and finish is very good.
And I got a free quart of oil with the table.

I got the same table a few weeks ago. It's doing great. Though I'm tempted to open it up, stick some mag tape and a read head in there somewhere. Probably more practical than dividing disks.

Sweet! My wife wont let me have a leg length reducer motorcycle. Aside from that defect, she otherwise scored very high on the mate compatibility questionnaire. But I'm distantly familiar with the Bimmer name. I made these increased mass steel weights for my brother couple years back. He was getting loss of feeling & pain in his hands on long trips due to vibration buzz or whatever you call it. He got the dimensions / weight off some forum. Apparently it was a success, he was a happy rider after that.

Nice work.
Beemers are definitely a different feeling ride. They are buttery smooth once underway but at idle they do vibrate a bit.
And if you rev it at a standstill there is a pronounced pitch to the right. Less so with the new 1250 engine but the 1200 is a different beast.

I ride a Kawasaki KLR650. I know nothing of this buttery smooth thing . I thought numb hands were normal?
