Thanks, it’s not the capacitors, somehow the pins from the centrifugal switch let go allowing the arms to let loose to reap havoc on the windings.I have one like this for sure but sadly I am in Calgary. I am sure you find one in GTA - or get one from PA or Amazon or Motors direct.

Thanks, I’ll look up the specs, it’s a European flange type IEC 71 spec motor with a larger shaft, a 56 frame might fit but it’s gonna be tight. I called today $400, which I’d think about paying if I was going to keep it, but I have a Logan 815 with a QCGB to take its place, so I don’t really want to spend that much to get it going, The Logan needs a motor as well! lol But it’s way easier to source!Any way to get it re-wound? I had my 600V/3ph re-wound to 220V/3ph to run a freq for $400. Getting it repaired/re-wound may be cheaper than you think.

Yes, I think I might have to maybe go treadmill motor or something DC and adapter plate, it would be be the easiest route for a narrow motor. I just didn’t want to change the wiring.The good thing about the kind of frame in your first photo is that it's usually pretty easy to make an adapter plate. Your motor looks quite similar to the motor I replaced in my Bridgeport Clone. I couldn't find a motor with same frame. But a simple plate allowed me to adapt in an amazing zero rated motor instead.
Thanks Dan, it looks like the same size frame that @jgimp69 has offered up, I think I’m going to have to reinstall the motor and check for clearance, the chip shield angles right at the motor and it’s pretty tight.
