Busy day, LOTS of progress. Played musical toolboxes and managed to get 2 top boxes, and 2 mid boxes emptied into the new big one, and other spaces. Still more work to do, and I still have to consolidate a lot more machining tools spread across multiple places from when I brought my old work box home, a few years ago but not more to go, might get it done later tonight.....
First pic is how it was.
I needed to make some brackets so the new bigger box could hang off the steps a bit. I used one of the angle brackets I made wrong from the loader project so it didn't really go to waste....the other 3 will find new things to be also
😀
I slid those boxes to the steps side, and brought in the new box so I could transfer tools over.
With those two emptied I took them outside for some breathing room
Then I emptied these two top ones. The top one wasn't really full of much, It just seemed to become a catchall for junk up top the past few months.
That bottom roll around lost some contents, but It's still pretty full and needed for now. Eventually it'll go out to the barn too, as I really want that space back.
Then I turned my attention to the workbench, and my tap, die, and tooling box on the benchtop. I like the mastercraft mid box I emptied first better than this one, so I swapped them. I'll be 3d printing tap and die organizers for the drawers shortly....

Much better fit for the space, Much nicer box than the cheap beach clone too.
Kinda felt like a dog chasing his tail seemingly not making any forward progress, but it's a big step in the right direction and one I've been wanting to do for a long time. Felt like a lottery win finding that toolbox yesterday for such a deal as it fits the space perfectly.
