Welcome to Westwood Metalworks, What is he building in there?

The funny part is, I obviously saw it when I welded it, and said "nah, that's good....". But I don't remember, it's been so long ago now.....The primer makes it much much more noticeable though. I'm using a hammertone paint, so it should hide it. If not....some filler will do....

Yeah, not many projects make it to paint around here. But I'm trying to do better. My least favourite part of the process, but sometimes the most rewarding.

The completion of the belt grinder has raised a space problem. I knew it would happen, no surprise there, but something has to go, and today is the day.

Its buried somewhere in here and its getting a new home out in the barn.

Ive spent 20 minutes moving shit and you still can't see it lol.

Ill update as i go....

Edit: yeah, i should be working on my ssqa plate, but I cocked up big time and have to redo a bunch of stuff, so im changing gears to stew on that for a while.....

There it is. Diacro 24" finger brake, and 36" shear. I brought this IN from the barn with good intentions of cleaning it up enough to use a number of years ago, and haven't touched it once.... its just a space hog and place to pile stuff.

I've wanted it out for a while, but its heavy and up until this summer I haven't had a working tractor to move it so it stayed...

Well, i was really hoping to have the ssqa done and forks on the front to do this job, but it couldn't wait. A bit of a sketchy move with the forks on the 3pt, but got it done safely. I had to take off the brake and stick it in the bucket, then chain up the shear/stand to swing it through the door sideways. Funstuff.

Still more work to do, but it's a really good start. A fair bit more room to actually walk around now, and I might actually be able to have another person in there at the same time too lol.

Still some toolbox rearranging that needs done, and I'm now on the lookout for a 42" tool chest (that has normal size drawers, not just 4 big ones) which will allow me to get rid of 2 top boxes, 2 mid boxes, and that bottom roll around can head out to the barn. The amount of space that would free up would be amazing 😀.

This one is looking promising. I'll give marketplace another month or so to produce something before I buy a new one.

It was a great treasure hunt today between the shop and barn. I found so many unfinished projects and things I forgot I had 😀. Squirrel!!!

I found the plasma cutter that I almost forgot I had doing the same ........ trying to stuff 10lbs of potatoes into a 5lb bag. 🙄😛
Every few years I go through and put all the "seemed like a good idea at the time" projects that are in various states of incompletion back into storage in about the same condition that I drug them out in. Plus a couple new ones. 🙄
