I don't think there's a better prototyping tool for a shop than a 3D printer.At the rate @David is going, he should be able get rid of all his metal working machines and just 3Dprint everything!

Oh and too be fair, yes, as @David has stated, that is a 3D printed limit switch holder... something of course I would never do... but that's only because I have no idea what day it is today...Made the X axis proximity switch mount tonight.
The trigger will ride in the groove in the front of the table.
Still have to design that.
