Today we get a control system, syntec-6MB, which is fitted just enough to use the console box of the original machine.

Look through the box for the sealed top cover, and the mounting plate.

I think maybe because of the language problem, I prefer to use pictures, I hope you do not get tired of too many pictures, if there is something wrong, please remind everyone in time!

I think you do remarkably well! I can assure you that I would fail miserably trying to post on a Chinese forum!

You deserve credit for trying and credit for how well you do too!

Don't worry about the language issue - and I love seeing the pictures. Please keep them coming!

And you do some very nice work.

There is no such thing as too many pictures!

..... Ummm..... More pictures please. :p There's no such thing as too many "in progress" pictures, I can't speak for everyone here, but I am thoroughly enjoying your posts and the insight on what life is like in your part of the world. I admit, most of the things you are doing are way over my understanding, but that is nothing to do with the pictures or language barrier. It's hard to understand when in awe....

Purchased two old handwheels MPG (made in Taiwan) and started welding the plugs
2023_08_29_10_48_IMG_2299.JPG 2023_08_29_11_27_IMG_2304.JPG
After the completion of the information is found to be wrong, just the quality of the plug is very poor, actually high temperature burned a pin.

Then I found that the voltage of the pulse wheel was also wrong, it was 12v DC, but what I needed was 5v DC. After checking and comparing the data of the two models, I found that the voltage of the pulse generator wheel of the other model was 5v DC, and the two MPGS could be completely separated and combined into one intact one, which was very lucky!

I think I need to wait to verify whether my circuit drawing is correct. If there is a professional engineer here, please help me to check briefly, thank you

Today starts to replace the cable, because in the previous servo encoder line and power line have been installed in place, so this time only to replace the system and drive communication cable, but still reduce a lot of cables

2023_08_30_16_45_IMG_2347.JPG 2023_08_30_16_51_IMG_2348.JPG 2023_08_30_17_50_IMG_2353.JPG 2023_08_30_18_03_IMG_2354.JPG
There are still a lot of cables in the tube, so threading is very laborious, and it feels like a tedious job, because I have reserved some extension cables to add some functions in the future

This is the excess cable that was removed

Wow! That's quite the project. I wouldn't be able to handle working on something like that.

Just for your information: in English we would call that "soldering."

Keep up the good work, and as Dan said, please keep the pictures coming, you have some seriously amazing skills!

Distinguish line colors and line numbers according to hardware installation instructions and make records. Then organize into PDF files, easy to consult and check later. (Because my P4 chose a different cable, I marked the line color and line number separately)

All the cables of the console are ready, and I reserved 3 more cables. I don't know whether it is because I am not confident or it is really necessary.
2023_09_04_21_05_IMG_2510.JPG 2023_09_04_21_05_IMG_2511.JPG
I added a set of IO boards (X2/Y2) to the console to control my added stoplights and expanded additional functions.
However, it is necessary to change or increase the internal PLC programming. I am not sure whether I can rewrite it perfectly, but I am willing to try to learn, which will significantly improve the operability of the machine tool.

You are doing some great work there, I would be lost in the nest of wires nevermind programming,
I'm glad of your praise. Thank you for your approval. I want you to know that you can do it, too.

In 2010, I couldn't even finish a simple contactor self-locking circuit wiring. After I began to love machinery, I was forced to learn some knowledge of machinery and electronics, because now is the era of mechatronics.

The reason why this post name is: Restart boot. When I bought the DECKEL-FP3 in 2015, I couldn't do anything about it, because it didn't work, and it was an old DC servo system. I had to clean up its appearance, then strip off all its electrical appliances, only power its spindle, and use its manual function.

Even when I bought a numerical control system in 2018, I was puzzled by its tangle of wires and its control logic. However, when you sit down and read the installation instructions carefully, and try to understand them, you will find that it is gradually clear and understandable.

My first friend told me: As long as you work hard at something, even if it is slow. As time goes on, you will find that you have completed a very significant amount of work before you know it.

Although I am still not sure whether I have the ability to complete the installation and debugging of this 4-axis machine tool. I will continue to push the progress of it until I learn some more complex knowledge to continue its transformation work.

In my opinion, the biggest gain after I entered the circle of mechanical hobby is: I learned a lot of mechanical and electrical knowledge, and I greatly improved my learning ability, which not only benefited me in my hobby, but also weakened the negative influence in my life.

As long as you can read the instructions quietly, you will find it easier and easier.

I know the quote has many varients, but Einstein was once asked if he knew the speed of sound because it was an interview question that Edison often asked. He expressed the view that a good education is not about accumulating data that can be looked up when needed, it is about training the mind to think.

I like how your mind thinks.

So the reason for saying this is that early on, I often couldn't settle down to finish a thing, and many of them were eventually given up. After my friend's words helped me push forward and finish something slowly, I thought it benefited a lot, so I kept pushing little by little and I found that I got more and more ----

I think time is abstract, as long as you use it for what you think is worthwhile - I don't think I can discuss these issues with you because the topic is too huge, because it has no standard answer, and because you have the obvious age advantage - you have experienced more!

And then I pushed it a little bit further today!
2023_09_05_10_27_IMG_2519.JPG
I solder the cable plug of the servo-driven control plug, and feel that solder is not very difficult, the effect is getting better and better, and I have constantly checked the color and position of the wire is wrong.。
2023_09_05_10_22_IMG_2518.JPG 2023_09_05_11_53_IMG_2521.JPG 2023_09_05_11_56_IMG_2524.JPG 2023_09_05_11_59_IMG_2528.JPG
I think my patience has been well cultivated. This would have been an unthinkable job 10 years ago, and I would not have focused on it carefully.
2023_09_05_16_11_IMG_2531.JPG 2023_09_05_17_41_IMG_2535.JPG

Patient recording and detailed and clear drawings are also important components to assist me in my completion.
