Here's some old ones from back around 2014.....Hard to believe I used to actually have room to bring in stuff to work on like Jr and I working on our quads.....:D Or storing a motorcycle that I actually used to ride.....

I don't know why I took those pics when I did but it was probably just after a cleanup, or rearrangement/repiling and I was proud of how good it looked lol.

Here's an even older one. Aug 2011. We moved in the year before. This probably would have been shortly after I got a blackberry and thus always had a camera in my pocket. Even still it was a few more years until I got in the habit of actually taking pictures of stuff. I probably just got my shaper, my first machine tool, and the very beginnings of my "home shop". Never would have thought back then it would have taken about 12 more years until I got it up and running.......The mill followed a few months later in the spring and it too took the same amount of time to actually get running......

See, I never have been a naturally neat and organized person. I've had to fight it the whole way to actually be productive.

Ok...so here's my "death row" workshop...
I say that in jest, but really...one trip of a boot by a stranger is certainly a visit to the Dr
I know where everything is to the point I can get to the only fab side light switch in the near dark.
20241231_164734.jpg

In this corner is the newly acquired Induma 1/S, my 8inch bench grinder, the diy estate sale find 72x2, and a combo disk belt sander
20241231_164741.jpg

So way, way in the back is the power hammer...in set of it is the hydraulic press waiting for me to finish it...a pickup box crane is hanging my trucks new bumper
Then there's the bandsaw, my 8inch vise, and a stump.
The stump is just a stump...but it's handy for holding stuff up, or sitting on, or acting as a tool rest...basically the ultimate uni-tool...
20241231_164807.jpg

Carrying along the inside wall...my dry cut saw, welder, and so on...
Old wrenches make great air tool holders just saying...
That hose reel, a PA scratch n dent score for 10 bucks...took me all of 20 minutes to figure out what was wrong with it and fix it.
The air dryer pipes are still too close to the compressor though...
20241231_164835.jpg

Rounding the corner...previous owner liked slat wall and pegboard...so I left it up...but now after the fact I realize I forgot to insulate that wall before setting the Crawford in place
That Western Star seat, minus the air base...is going into my Toyota. Lots of LED's in here too...I do need to move that light over the lathe though
20241231_164843.jpg

One more quick right n my newer lathe (thanks to Mower) ...this isn't its permanent spot...the mill is gonna be in here after I get my skates made...
20241231_164851.jpg

The toolbox is gonna sit beside the red cabinets...drill press will end up where the mill sits currently
20241231_164854.jpg

At some point, I'll revise the tool wall...the large belt could do with some semblance of a guard...
Gratuitous backdrop of the Wurth Calendar not intentional...maybe...
I miss the Napa Parts Pups...

I really wish I had a better grip on organization...but I've ALWAYS struggled with it...
Being assessed as an adult with ADHD at least helps me understand why
I'm also shite for getting rid of stuff...
When we move though...yeah...a lot of project materiel is gonna go into the bin....
