Really ?

I dunno. Fish sticks beside the slopes in Denver with ski girls in bikinis is something every guy has to experience. The cold has a certain very special way of improving the view.
I just chastised a buddy that is in Hawaii...he phoned me to tell me all about the Bikini's he's seeing on a daily basis...and then texts me 15 photo's of the sunsets.

Hi Guys,

A few years ago whilst driving through the Italian Alps, between 40 or 50 ft snowdrifts and a god knows how big a drop on the right hand side. I, we saw a naked woman sunbathing in between two hummocks of snow ! Not that I saw much more than her boobs since I was driving. I wouldn't have seen that but for my wife pointing her out, I did notice the car nicely parked at the bottom of the drift.

The wife sounds like a prize 😉

Oh, the Rambler had that advanced feature too!

Hooboy, we're gonna talk Ramblers! '64 Classic w/287 was my first, hit and wrecked while I was in university. Next (same car but two-door) was in the late 80s (picked it up in Vancouver while flying back from SF, gas gauge didn't work so to get it home I drove with an ohmmeter (my DVM) on the seat next to me, didn't have to pay the Coquihalla toll 'cause the provincial workers were on strike, and my dad said I was too young for nostalgia. Drove a '65 Ambassador ragtop for a while but it was pretty rotted out and is now one of the derelicts. My ultimate plan is for another '64 Classic four-door that's been pining for my attention for the past few years - I'm going to drop the Ambo's 327 4bbl into it, and when that actually happens get a vanity plate that reads "EMP HARD" (assuming I can find an old tube radio...).

Shades of The Dresden Files.

Sorry - never read/watched it. Perhaps you can explain the reference.

I normally avoid the "fantasy" genre, but don't actually have many hard rules about it. Mainly dragons. fsck dragons. A friend once convinced me to give Game of Thrones a go because there were amazing amounts of sex+violence. Sounded good to me... until the first dragon appeared, and I was outa there. Though I did make a point of watching two (iIrc) episodes just to see Wilko Johnson (RIP) playing an executioner. Wasn't much of a role for him, but still a treat to see that wonderful old git.

The Harry Dresden character is a male witch working as a private investigator in Chicago.
Because his brand of magic plays hell with electronics he is limited to driving an old VW bug.
Not great books but I used to play a lot of DnD so they have their appeal.

Gotcha - so no direct Rambler reference, just low-tech.

Who?

I'm old enough to remember Due South for Chicago genre, but not Harry Dresden
