I have the same Lee Valley model and it's from a Canadian store too. It's good.I have that Lee Valley light and I will say that the fit and finish is excellent. I bought it on sale but would have paid full price for it.

I have a similar lamp at my sit-down bench for working on smaller parts (unfortunately this photo only shows the wall-mounted base):https://www.leevalley.com/en-ca/shop/tools/workshop/workbenches/benchtop-accessories/lighting/76037-led-magnifying-bench-lamp?item=17J3030&utm_campaign=CAN-EN|PLA|PMax|Tools|HighPriceTier&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=19794770096&gbraid=0AAAAAClVJ5iln03LVSZCwje2gJMVkwFXa&gclid=CjwKCAjwxeHWBhBPEiwAiqtQ-Xm0IVCViUOEKDm8XdPOdHbZctoFaA_0TNojmPNJ0mgVehxKkMq_YxoCa1AQAvD_BwE#pdp-bullets
What's thoughts on this? It's portable, mounts to a bench, magnifier and lighted

I have this one (unfortunately no longer available on Amazon) mounted on my Mini-Mill:

I chose it specifically because it didn't have a magnetic base; instead it's attached to the back of the column:
I don't have that specific one, but have had a couple over the years and wouldn't consider one without the light. Extremely useful when digging foreign objects from fingers etc. As far as inspecting my work with it, I already know it looks like crap before I even open my eyes. 😉 😛I'll have to do some more research then. From this thread it seemed like having a lighted magnifier was a nice bonus versus just a magnifier. Yes bench mount would be ideal
Yes it is, thanks (I didn't scroll down far enough to see an alternate). Using your link I got the ASIN (and two listings for the same unit (one sponsored, one not) popped up on Amazon U.S. Same bracket & hardware:

Same here, I have one in my loading room with the old school halo fluorescent light that works very well but the newer LED one in the shop is hands down better for old eyes and slivers...metal or wood...I don't have that specific one, but have had a couple over the years and wouldn't consider one without the light.
