Machine/Mill Light

I have a similar lamp at my sit-down bench for working on smaller parts (unfortunately this photo only shows the wall-mounted base):

It works well for this application as the flap above the magnifying lens keeps the lens clean; however, when used as a magnifier (light on or off) the flap can get in the way.

This is the lamp (I apologize for using Amazon U.S. links) I have between my Lathe & Mill (having seen my shop, you know that everything is in close proximity); here it is stowed:

Positioned for using at the Lathe:

And at the Mill:

However, while the magnifying lamp works well when I need to see close up, this post has what I currently use most of the time at the Mill. Maybe you need to stop by again and see how things have changed?

I'll have to do some more research then. From this thread it seemed like having a lighted magnifier was a nice bonus versus just a magnifier. Yes bench mount would be ideal
I don't have that specific one, but have had a couple over the years and wouldn't consider one without the light. Extremely useful when digging foreign objects from fingers etc. As far as inspecting my work with it, I already know it looks like crap before I even open my eyes. 😉 😛
