  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

Emco Maximat Super 11

As good a price as the one in Ottawa? Perhaps I can arrange a purchase one day and get someone to store it until I can come back... I get back around once per year these days. I hope my next drive will be uneventful!!

I'm just worried about someone that doesn't know how, and I get an unusable one for all the costs.
FYI, this particular Nikon 6c was sold to a friend of mine for less than asking, came with a boat load of extras such as beam splitters, extra glass in a crate, a load of spare bulbs and some extra lenses. Being strapped to a skid for LTL to Southern Ontario. Fully expect it to arrive in great shape. The seller has shipped this way before so all good.
Now if we could just find some affordable thread overlays, life would be great. Plan B is to draw some up in AutoCad.

My reco is next time give the seller a call, you will soon know if they are capable of shipping the unit. They seem to pop up on Kijiji in ON in clusters so there might a few more soon :-) These things open up a whole new world of seeing, esp. threads and inserts.
