Is it an Edmonton or Albertan thing to charge both an environmental fee and a deposit for plastic water jugs?? I knew Sask you could take cans back.

All beverage containers are returnable in Alberta.

I haven’t checked a receipt lately for it but I think there are both fees in SK as well. You get the deposit amount back when you return it.

Back when Ontario started a glass and plastic recycling program, most proponents suggested copying the pairie provinces. But our guys wanted to show the prairies how to do it right and failed miserably. Egotistical idiots. Now the Ontario programs are both a sham and a shambles too.

Received a nice 66 in a 50 tax the other day in the mail just my pleasure to hand over $80 more. Could have gotten a good set of adjustable parallels with that money.
