Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Reminds me of when they'd send the 50 year old cops in on enduros to chase us kids out of the gravel pits on our 250's......LOL
Been there done that - but in my case it was my brother and I (him on a Yamaha MXer and me on a Hodaka Super Rat) at Forks of the Credit (Brampton). What a joke, the 2 cops showed up on Harleys!!

wired up a new 30 amp outlet and installed a new pressure switch because the cheap black housing holding the compression spring in place cracked, fired up the compressor, hooked up the sand blaster and gave it a go.
definitely need a full face mask, but it blasts fast with whatever black mystery media was in the used pressure pot I bought. Going to start making progress on all the machines really soon.
Bonus work today included jointing 2" thick by 8-10" wide by 12 foot long maple boards for a table my brother is making for his partner. Those are damn heavy pushing thru a jointer
