I bought 5 ER32 nuts love them easier to torque to hold bits tight. Definitely worth the investment.
Smaller than ER32 I don't think they are require, higher definitely.

Torquing collet nuts is one of those niggling little questions I have every time I tighten one up. How tight is tight enough?
Depends on the size of the ER collet and the tooling.

Here is the Rego-Fix ER collet nut torque specs. They make plain collet nuts, ER ERC, and bearing nuts, ERB ERCB.
The torque specs are different between the two types. Less applied torgue to the bearing nut vs plain. The torques also vary depending on the size of tool the collet will be gripping.

Off hand, what's the difference between ER and ERC?
The "C" stands for coolant through collets.

There is another thread on Bearing ER32 that gives a source in the UK, I bought 5 last year and shipping was minimal (not like BB).
You bought 5 bearing nuts???
They are considered consumable. The nut on my mill probably needs replacing.

Besides killing myself laughing at @140mower again (twice in just 2 minutes - guy is on a roll), what the heck makes them consumable? I would think they should outlast regular nuts by a wide margin!
Oh, sorry, I didn't mean the bearing nuts over the plain. I meant all ER collet nuts.

Yes as I have 5 R8-ER32 holders, allows me to set 5 different tools, plus a couple of other tool holders approx 10 in total, remember CNC and I'm the HTC (Human Tool Changer
).

I think just nice to have. But I want one anyway. Even if just to try. Not ordering from Shars or China though. But didn't see any on Amazon. I'll let you know if I find some.
