Anycubic Kobra S1 Combo

Tried multi colour printing this morning.
Definitely need to learn more about this process.
As an aside, this was designed at 20 mm X 20mm.
Came out at 19.94mm X 19.94 which is pretty impressive.

Now that you're doing multicolor, checkout Hueforge.
You can find examples on most of the 3d print compilation sites.

The same double value makes me think 20.00x20.00 is possible. Do those things have a scale factor?

Or is this just temperature or something similar? Or is it maybe just the layer increments? Or am I just noticing something that isn't there......

I can scale any axis in the slicer by as little as .01% so it's definitely possible to hit pretty tight tolerances. Just takes trial and error.

I just got a shipping notification for my Kobra S1 combo coming out of Oakville via FedEx. Now I need to clean a space for it... Ordered Feb 17, was starting to get itchy wondering when it would ship as I was kinda hoping it it would be much earlier in the expected window of Feb15 to Mar25, but its right in the middle of that so no reason to complain.

Its been a almost 2 weeks, and so far I'm satisfied with the Kobra S1 combo. I think I half qualify as a complete amateur as the last 3D printing I did was back in 2020 and things seem to have changed a fair bit since. My biggest complaint is the lack of tutorial / documentation / etc. by Anycubic and an unintuitive interface.
Searching random Youtube videos to help you figure things out doesn't seem right and is probably where Bambu Labs are more refined.
Here's an example I'm talking about and you can call me stupid but it took far too long (days!) to figure out how to define / tell the printer what filament to use (only tried a few times a day..). Here's a screen snip of the slicer software. Shows 4 filaments, but my clicking on them / editing them didn't bring up any means of telling the printer which one to use.

Turns out that the little line below where it says Process and shows Global in blue and Objects in grey is where you find the secret selector. Click on Objects and the ability to select filament for the Object being printed is found there.

Maybe I'm getting old and my VCR programming days are behind me but this is definitely an area that can be improved for user interface. That and the whole needing to force it to use 2.4GHz to connect to wifi... and I haven't figured out cloud printing yet (maybe a good thing?) which is mutually exclusive to having it working on the LAN...

Glad it’s working out for you.
I keep mine in LAN mode because the cloud connection is a bit flaky over time.
The slicer takes a bit to understand. Overall it’s a lot like the vanilla version of Orca slicer but it has tweaks specifically for Anycubic.

On the Bambu you just right click on the printed piece and a menu pops up allowing you to select the filament.
Alternately you can use the Object button and the filament number is shown beside each object. You can change it there.

I think what bothered me most about the slicer was that the "Help" menu didn't help at all!
I get that its a 98% derivative of the open source Orca Slicer, but as they have branded it for themselves, they should take the initiative to add a few things to it like a searchable help document.
Oh well, I'm obviously expecting too much from them here.
