This new printer looks very good.
The AMS is also a filament dryer...
Seriously impressive.
Bambu P1S order for $1191 CDN cancelled.
Anycubic K1S ordered. $861 CDN shipped with 4 colour AMS.

This looks like it has more features than a Qidi PRO 4 for the same price. Very impressive.

Bambu P1S order for $1191 CDN cancelled.

Do you actually ever complete a new product order?

I'm waiting for the post in near future that says:

Discovered that any cubic only handles other cubics. Cancelled the order.

Ordered a Bambu P1S.

I think the online order system is just the way you hide money from your bank......

I actually got a ship notification for the Bambu last night which frankly surprised me given that they gave me a ship date of Jan 31. They cancelled it as soon as I asked.

My reasons for appearing to be all over the place on this are because I already have a fast open frame printer. Smaller build volume, single colour. But I'm concerned that it's going to go sideways on me again.
My goal is the most value for my money in a larger format, multi-color, enclosed printer.
The $331CDN cost between the Anycubic KS1 and the Bambu P1S is not insignificant. And counting in the additional features of the Anycubic; filament dryer (not available for the Bambu AMS) and touch screen ($100CDN add-on to the P1S with potentially limited lifespan) it was an easy decision to cancel the Bambu order.

And now I will be able to do some comparisons to @jcdammeyer X1C. Not a fair comparison as the X1C is almost three times the cost.

Was going to buy the bambu labs. Like others very hesitant over the latest news. Very interested in the anycubic with the ace system. I think I may wait for someone to post a review. Online reviews seem a bit mixed with the slicer having some issues. Thinking of the Kobra 3 max?

The reviews I trust are Michael from Teaching Tech, Aurora Tech, and Toms Hardware. Disregard anything from The Real Sam Prentice.

Thanks for posting. Too late for me, but happy to see competition in the market. Nothing like financial implications to put things into focus.

I have had an Anycubic printer for about 5 years now, and I can tell you they have awesome customer support. My first printer stopped working after about 2 years. Emailed them, and they sent me 1) new wiring and small PC Card for the print head, 2) New print head, 3) New power supply, 4) New motherboard. Free. No shipping or anything. They did ask if I would give them a review on Google. (they didn't say it had to be positive)

They might be a bit more established now, and not looking to gain good reviews. But they got a warm place in my heart.

And I have used the printers I have had for 100's and 100's of hours of printing.

That's a solid vote of confidence Tom, appreciate it!

My Anycubic Kobra S1 combo shipped yesterday Feb 13. They told me the earliest possible ship date was Feb 15th so I was pleasantly surprised. Coming from Oakville ON.
Should be here Tuesday.

I actually have just ordered one, got an extra $30 off the $649 US price and used that to get 4kg of PLA from them - so $659 US hit my credit card at $959 CAD. I need the filament as I'm coming into this from scratch having got rid of everything 3D printing 4 years ago. I'm excited, but at the same time not sure how long it will take to ship so I'll watch this space for your thoughts on it.

Nice!
Not sure I’ll get to setting it up today but reports are positive.
