2002 VW Golf refurb

While not a coil spring, ford pickups had a torsion bar in the front end, a parts guy I knew at a dealership said they couldn’t even get the trucks off the car carrier without at least one breaking a torsion bar. They had 2 trucks on the lot they couldn’t sell as had run out of replacement bars, were waiting for more.
Am not sure how common it is, but have seen a few dodge pickups with a broken front coil spring, a couple of 1500’s, a couple of 3500’s. 2 wheel drive and 4X4’s.
What year and model Ford?

Late 60's series about a group of allied soldiers in jeeps with mounted machine guns harassing Rommel's Afrikacorp in North Africa in WW2.
Jeeps with machine guns was the coolest thing ever when you were playing wargames in the dirt with your Tonka trucks.
Weird- I remember MASH, car 54 where are you, bewitched, golden girls, Archie bunker, the honeymooners but not rat patrol. Heck even the Brady bunch

In Alberta I believe they still have people employed for rat control duties. I have a friend that was once employed as a skunk and rat control personnel with AB government.

I read someplace recently that Alberta is one of the few places in the world with no rats.

Yes it's quite an accomplishment really, rats on all sides of us and tremendous amount of commodities and vehicles coming ang going all ways but rats are not allowed to establish. Of course there are intruders and temporary resident rats but they act quickly and lethaly on them.

I'm going to bite on the rat theme... true story. My dad, brother and myself were doing a long canoe trip down the Mississippi. We would often camp in parks. We were in New Orleans and picked a spot in Audubon park. My brother and I decided to go see Bourbon St. leaving my dad to watch the canoe and our belongings. About an hour before sunset the cops show up and tell my dad no camping in the park. My dad explains we will be gone first thing in the morning but can't leave now because my sons are doing the tourist thing. No exceptions you have to depart right now. So my dad said okay, but you need to help me get the 21" canoe in the water. There was about 50' of tall grass between the manicured park and the river, and that patch of tall grass was just filled with rats, huge rats the ground was just teaming with them scurrying everywhere so many you couldn't begin to count them. My dad pointed them out and told the cops you need to be careful they are aggressive. One cop to the other No way I'm going in there. Okay first thing in the morning!
