    JCDammeyer's 42 projects

What about a hinged cover with a cutout where you need access to the work piece. I'm thinking something along the lines of a CPU socket lid. Drop in your work piece and flip the lid over to hold it in place. You would need to figure out an easy to implement clip to hold the lid down. Chris

    DavidR8's shop shenanigans

Something else maybe to consider for your shop floor drain is an oil interceptor. If you drop 5 litres of oil on the floor, where will it end up? Chris

Tool Tools you acquired that are useless

Actually you can buy adapters for the M18 batteries on Amazon. I just got a couple, and some E26 base LED bulbs that run on 12-36v. I plan to put them in the shed I am building. It is too far from power to be cost effective to run wires. Plan is to have the M18 adapter on the wall just inside...

    Tips/Techniques 3 Phase motor

While we are talking about what you can and can't get away with in single and 3 phase motors, I have found that some things out of spec are tolerated and other things aren't. This was based on 3 and 5 hp 220v motors From my experience over the years, you can run a 50hz (single ph) motor on 60hz...

    Tips/Techniques 3 Phase motor

I couldn't check because it is currently in storage, but the drive I used is a Hitachi WJ200 (definitely Hitachi and had 200 in the model number). It came from Drive Warehouse in Texas and looking at their site now the prices have come down. It likely has SLV. It will run very slow and smooth...
