Dinner conversations with my wife sound like scenes from a mafia movie.
I may say “I talked to John today” and she’ll go “big John? And I say, no “John in the south”, and she says “retired south John?” And I say “no, IT consultant John”. And she says “oh, how’s he doing ?”

There was a joke on the TV show "Murphy Brown" many years ago, to the effect that a kid has to have a middle name. Otherwise he can't tell when his mother is really mad.
