  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

Hi. Looking for a gear head single phase American, Canadian or European made lathe. 12 to 16 inch swing. The heavier the better.
I am offering to do discount for forum members 75% off normal prices for smaller pieces only for Christmas.
How do you like the lathe? This is my second lathe, but this one is big step up from the little toy that I had before.
Hi. I am a contract Millwright who just started my own shop on days off. I am always looking for old heavy quality metal working machinery.
Josh If you know of anyone that's looking for a milling machine have them check out the Alberta Surplus website.

http://surplus.gov.ab.ca/OnlineAuctions.aspx

Current bid is at $500.00 and I'm sure it's worth every penny
The auction ends in under 9 hours and is local to Calgary.
It'll be a great machine for a beginner or moving up from a mini mill.
