  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! VFD - Do I understand this correctly???

By the sounds of things I should be looking at a 5 HP VFD for a 3 HP motor? Are all 3 PH motors VFD compatible? Am I missing some key detail? Just trying to figure out if this is feasible and what the cost would be.

i am running a baldord 3ph 3hp 240v on a 2.2kw vfd with remote control(wired) on my lathe and love it with no problems running it up to 120hz. i am thinking of putting in a braking resistor but its not necessary.
