Tool Vertical bandsaw or Porta-band?

Tool
I had the good fortune of obtaining a Delta Rockwell 14 inch wood/metal bandsaw. It has a built in gearbox to reduce speed for metal cutting. They were discontinued a long time ago so not an easy find. Mine was in very poor condition and needed a considerable refurbish, but I'm very pleased with it.

That is a rare beast indeed.
They do show up on the market occasionally. I've seen a couple on FB Marketplace. Some of the bearings for the gearbox are a bit difficult to source. But, the rest are still in production for the wood cutting model which has been much copied and I think still produced.

Trouble is that I have no interest in the wood only model. But I would happily repair or modify the dual purpose machine as required including different bearings if need be. I even have waiting projects for it that may not get done during my lifetime otherwise.
