  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

Heading down to Utah/Wyoming next month on a holiday. I plan on hitting a few craft breweries & some of the geological stops (Bryce Canyon, Monument Valley, etc.).

Any suggestions for interesting places to go/see/do? Food joints, off the beaten path surprises, etc? Prolly taking I15 down, coming back through Wyoming. Cody's Yellowstone brewfest is on July 19.

Thx, but not interested in the temple...

Yellowstone , Jackson Hole , Snowy Range , not sure when Frontier Days is but coming up soon .

I have a lot of family out in Cheyanne . My niece was Miss Frontier Days back in 96 , you talk about a party !!!

Venture off from monument Valley into Valley of the Gods and take a run up the Moki Dugway. Go out to Goosenecks State park for the view of the San Juan River.

WY- take 191 north from Rock Springs to 28 over to Riverton, then 20 to Thermopolis, then up to Cody. If you have time either 14 or 16 over to I90 are very scenic mountain driving too

In Cody there's a Wild West museum @historicalarms was telling me about, as well as a Sharps museum or factory somewhere in that area? In Cody there's at least one range with a WIDE variety of things to rent.

From Cody it's about an hour to Yellowstone if I remember right, maybe less in a car
