Tool Tap handle Starrett 91B or Greenfield #4?

Tool
I'm home.

On the drive home through Chatham, I called him. I told him new ones were 180. He quickly agreed to 100. They are in reasonably good shape. Yes, as I had guessed from the photo, there is some surface rust. But I can prolly polish it out. Functionally, they are both in great shape.

I even tapped a few holes when I got home. Never loosened off once. Feel great in my hands too - even the small one.

Quite happy!

Thanks @Perry ! You made my day!

Now I need a C and a D. If they make a teeny tiny AAA, that would awesome too. Clear priority is D though.

Nice. I'm glad it worked out for you. :) I like spending other peoples money.

When I seen the Calgary number I thought there might be some hope for me. Time is on my side. something always comes along. :)

Your photo makes them look pretty good. Just like new.

You are lucky. At 77, time is not my friend anymore....... LOL!

I confess I did a bit of polishing to see how bad the rust was.

I also see I left a fingerprint on the small one. Goes to show how tiny it is. Downright cute little tool!

These finally showed up today.

Delivered by what looked to be a homeless man driving a unmarked vehicle that should have been at the wreckers 15 years ago. Don't get me wrong. You do what you have to do to make a living. All the power to him. The issue starts with "Ebay international shipping program".

Ebay sellers have the option of using the international shipping program. These items were only offered with the international shipping program. The program allows me to pay a little more up front to avoid the tax and duties issue. I opt'd in. I didn't want to...but I did. A few days into the process it looks like the items are handed off from the ebay distribution center to DHL. A few days later I get the email from DHL that I owe $20. $10 taxes and $10 for their handling fee. Now I know this isn't too bad. I've been taken for a lot more by some of these shipping companies. The issue here is that I paid ebay extra to avoid this. So, I start to make the calls. DHL doesn't know about my agreement with Ebay. Ebay tells me to contact DHL. The run around. I'm too busy right now to be playing this game so I swallow the extra $20.

Following the tracking on the DHL site shows... CLEARED CUSTOMS 01:53 AM LT, MISSISSAUGA, ON, CA October 11, 2024. It still does. No updates.

Today I take delivery from a "free lance" delivery service. I'm happy I got my item. Not happy to pay for the premium service. DHL must have farmed this out to a smaller delivery outfit.

I'm tempted to call DHL and ask them for an update on my package. Let them run around in circles for a bit. Their website still has no update as of a couple minutes ago.

Oh, the tap handles are very nice. :)
