I dunno, I’d be passing on that as my first lathe (pardon me if it’s not).
As @Brent H said, a lotta work for who knows what kind of result.
If you’re into restoring machines then maybe it’s right up your alley.

Unfortunately my signature states one of my character flaws or strengths depending on your perspective; I see a machine like this and I see the potential in it and the potential to learn from the process of repairing it. I need to put that aside and really examine the practical expectations of what this type of endeavour entails. Not my first lathe, first lathe I owned was my SB 9C. I have been using a busy bee 12x48 (worn out) and a VDF 16in x 96ish since I was an apprentice.
