Go to Enterprise with the police report, photos, and license plate info. Point out the driver claims he wasn’t the one who rented the truck. Unless the renter listed the driver on the rental agreement, the insurance is void and Enterprise might be willing to give you the drivers name.
I went there yesterday , gave the Enterprise management all my info , including recent intell I've gathered about the creep . They are on it and I'm expecting a follow up next week .
Yes , I know who the creep is now and it is amazing what you can find out about someone when you try .
I'll just say the guy is well known to the police and has a rap sheet for a variety of crimes , assault , assault with a weapon , dangerous driving , leaving the scene of a collision and many more .

I’d suggest keeping him at a length: someone with that history could decide to seriously mess you up in a misguided attempt to get out from under the charges.

He's the kind of guy that , given his lifestyle and poor choices , Is quite likely to die of lead poisoning at some point .
I have his mug shot , there was a wanted poster from 2019 with a list of 8 charges that hat initiated a police manhunt .
I found all of this with minimal effort , along with some other pictures .

They don't have those out west. Even in BC, they have whimpy trees with whimpy branches....

No, we're not known for hard wood timber out here...we don't have the climate maybe?
My Dad put groceries in my gut by his selfless work as a bush worker running equipment...
He got his start back in the 50's...age 14...driving Gramps log haul truck...he didn't ask, he was told...

The repairs started near the end of march , a bit of a slow process ........ I've been trying to negotiate with the insurance adjustor and the restoration company , not an easy process . I am now sharing some of the repair work after waiting , with very little happening . The framers have been here and replaced the crushed corner of the garage , prior to that an engineering company was here , first to assess the structural damage , put a plan together for the repair and then a second visit following the framing repairs , to sign off on the repair .
Since then , not much has happened .
The original estimate was to move the shed back to where it was by bringing in a mobile crane for 8 hours , a plan that is flawed , no pick point on the building , no rigging plan , powerline overhead etc .... , they were going to bring in labourer's to empty the shed and haul everything away , store it somewhere and then bring it back , put it all back in the shed , that alone was a good sized portion of the dollar value of the repair estimate , I told em , screw that , I'll do it myself .
The new plan is , they are now going to issue a payout , I'm taking on a portion of the repair work and some of the work will go to contractors .
I've got the shed partially cleaned out and almost back where it was before the collision , the last few inches are proving to be difficult . I used a come along and some slings to get the shed moving , changing the rigging a few times to get the right angle of pull , limited choices were available for pulling anchors . I need to move it a bit more and then level it .
Contractors are taking care of the rest of the repair and replacing .The fence will be last , siding on both the shed and garage still need doing as well as drywall and paint in the garage ....... waiting is a piss off , If there is no drywall up by friday this week , I'm gonna be raising hell .

I'm a fairly self reliant guy , I like to see progress , forward movement , even If it means telling people to F - off

Some garage repairs ...

Many decades ago, I started as a carpenter. The garage repair took lifting the header as well replacing the door frame, that is where the engineer came in. The framing itself is simple.
Getting matching vinyl siding will be difficult, the stuff fades .

Your sawsall will get a work out on the shed. But that's what they are for.

The siding has been an ongoing argument with the Adjustor ( female , has to get the last word in ) .

The siding on the shed is only a couple of years old , when I built the shed I chose the siding that most closely matched the colour of the siding on the garage , I still have the receipts and it can be purchased at the same place I bought it from . The profile is not the same as the siding on the garage , close but not quite , the garage siding is , I'm guessing over 30 years old .
The adjustor is saying they will only replace the siding in the immediate area where damage has occurred , I'm strongly opposed to that idea , it is going to look stupid .

Both aluminum and vinyl siding finishes degrade, all most like etching. So they can be repainted. I have seen repainted aluminum which looked good. The big IF, is the quality of paint now. I think your adjuster needs a letter with a legal firm's letterhead . chuckle.

Had a tornado come through 20+ years ago. Folks across from me had their roof lifted & dropped back in place but all the nails pulled and siding damage to one side of the house - insurance repaired joists, replaced the roof sheathing & shingles but would only replace the siding on the damaged wall: white since the green was not matchable. House on other side of the street had USAA: all siding replaced so that everything matched.

Us? We were lucky: some paint damage, missing mailbox, smashed gas grill & a tree that fell away from the house (not covered). However, if the tornado had dropped the roof from a deck down the street a half-second sooner it would have wiped out halh the house: ended up in the street instead.

Oh, the sky did turn a green copper color, my ears popped and it does sound like a freight train.

We had one come through the field just West of me about 5 years ago. I was in the barn and heard it. I headed for the house basement but spotted my wife and one grandson in the laneway fearlessly pointing and yacking. Made an instant decision to run to them instead of the basement. (Ya, we would have all died if it was faster. ) They couldn't hear me yelling. Wife was stubborn - didn't see the danger. So I grabbed the little guy and ran for the basement. She followed in high pitch bitch mode. Thankfully, it turned south and headed out across Lake Erie as a water spout instead of hitting the homes along the lake. She still thinks I was just being stupid.
