That little invention was one of those Eureka moments, lamp base from the re-use store, pillow block attached to the platform, so it spins freely. Storing test leads is a PITA, but this really helps. That's just a fraction of my test leads, but now I can just reach for most of the common ones when trying to get something done at the bench.
Full set of show your shop...
The last two are especially for Susquatch, becuase everyone needs a little chaos, with a sprinkle of swarf on the mill table for good measure!
What the hell.
Now my shop really is in transition. Trying to acquire all the major equipment I'll need before I retire in a few years and the fun money disappears. I've been restoring cars and bikes for the last few decades and I'm done with it, no more lying on back on a cold floor fixing rust.
Also, redoing all the loosy goosy wiring I have thrown up over the years, trying consolidate all the circuits and run a new 220amp line for the mill.
I want to remove all the "temporary" extension cords with 20yrs of dust on them and bring it all up to code, ... or mostly code.
The second pic you can see the SM lathe and mill I just put in place with the engine hoist, want to build some new shelves above the lathe to store all the tooling.
The big hole in the center is reserved for the weekend fun car that comes back into the garage during the summer.
I seem to drive it less and less each year so may sell it soon and use all the extra space for more tools!
