These digital inclinometers have been around for a while. Usually they are substantially bigger & heavier. I think Ive tossed out 2 now over the years that went on the fritz.
I've had pretty good luck with the SHAHE brand in other instruments. I needed an ideally smaller/lighter one so gave this one a try. So far so good. The display is bright & crisp. It seems to repeat very well. The older ones had a calibration ritual where you flip flopped & ress various buttons, which is fine. This one come pre-levelled out of the box. But it also has a null which is more what I do often (stick it on a reference, null to zero, then incline to som etarget angle based on that). The magnet is decent, but I'd say its half the weight of the old ones. My only gripe is the threaded inserts they chose for the back are some bizarro size. I've got lots of metric & imperial in that size but nothing quite fits. Almost like its a #5-40 or something. I'll figure it out on eday but too bad, because it wouldbe amenable to custom fixtures or whatever.
