  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

Saskatchewan

Howdy from an old Saskatchewan Prairie boy born just south of Humboldt. Now living in SW Ontario. Wish I could go home but that would take death or divorce - not sure which is worse. So I'll be staying here in Ontario for the foreseeable future.

Was in Moose Jaw for some long period of years that blessedly has not ruined some of the good memories from there. Lets just say, if I never experience another Prairie winter, that would suit me about fine! :P

When I was there ('92-'99) there was a pretty active group of hobby metalworkers that used to meet up once a month in Regina, another group that was a bit more casual, that was based out of Toon Town.

I'd like to draw your attention/awareness to the 35th (IIRC) Annual Estevan Model Engineering Show, https://www.estevanmodelengineeringshow.net/ for the exact dates and timings. LOTS to see and chat over! Usually a few guys with some stuff for sale, and always a lot of really cool engines and models to see. Great place to meet up with like minds, and Kelly, who runs the show, is a great guy and great source of information on who is doing what, where, in the general vicinity.
