  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

R8 Collet Set or R8-ER32 Collet Set

Well..... I'm going to give this a go....

AliExpress, $60cdn, 15pc ER20 collet set (metric, 1-13mm in 1mm increments and a few 0.5 sizes), R8-ER20 chuck holder and MT2-ER20 chuck holder. Shipped via EPacket with an ETD of 15-30 days. Suppose to ship within 10 days from the same seller.

To be continued...….

I didn't realize we had used some ER16? I thought it was all done with ER32. After using them it occurred to me that they seemed to be the way to go rather than messing with the draw bar for every tool change.

Red neck power drawbar - cheap and works fast. If I blow up the threads I’ll just make another one.

@Janger Wow, I'm so out of it and far behind in the content here, lol . . . I blame it on toddler, infant, work, wife, and outside family needing stuff . . . For what it's worth it's great to know great minds think alike as I've used my Ryobi 1/4" impact power drawbar since I got my first mill a few years ago! As long as one has ceiling/garage door clearance they work well.

Ordered on the 4th, delivered on the 18th, so not bad at all. This EPacket thing appears to be a good delivery option.
