Princess Auto

Ayup!

The only folk that continue to run a business that does not turn them a profit directly, are using it to launder their income from other sources, IMO.

Personal Income Tax is a great example of another common falsehood, that many do not seem to understand. People actually BRAG, about how big a Return they are getting. They get their own bloody money back, and brag about it! Pretty safe bet, that they would not loan that money to their best friend, at 0% interest rates, but they feel like winners when they get their own money back from the Government!
So true

I heard years ago that the reason there was almost always a Burger King across the Street from a McDonalds was that even though they were competitors, they had learned to trust each others' market research. If McDonalds thought they could succeed there, BK probably could too.
Maybe PA and PV did the same.
Then again, it could be zoning:)
Here's my view of Burger King. Remember those really annoying "Where's the Beef?" ads? I do. Never set a foot in one since. And won't.

On a Fast Food ramble, though maybe slightly OT, we (my brother in Law and I) got trapped in an eternal MacDonald's Drive Through lane. around 25 minutes.

Nothing better to do, my BIL, who chose to enter said life sucking trap, asks the girl at the window what is going on. She says "The Team Manager is an A-hole to the crew, so they all decided to call in sick on a Saturday morning!"

If "I" had paid a franchise fee on the order of what that business owner had, I think I would have been feeding the corpse of that manager, to the chickens that night! You can hire all the "Good People" you can find, and hiring one bad boss can kill you.

Whopper with Cheese - best fast food burger.

McDonald's fries - best fast food fries.

Love it when they across from each other. I can get burger at BK, and then get fries across the street.

now to really ratchet it up...hit the closest Wendy's...and get one of those Frosty's... for dunking the McD's fries into.
Yes it sounds insane...but honestly...don't knock it til you try it...
One of the guys I used to bach with did it all the time, and I said he was bonkers...until I gave it a go.
must be something with the salt on the fries and the sugar in the Frosty...
it does taste good.

Blink twice if you need an intervention.

I'm a purist when it comes to beer. Not only am I an unapologetic craft beer snob, but crap like beer "cocktails" is just...wrong.

At the brewfest in Cody on the weekend, one of the breweries was offering this abomination of vanilla ice cream & beer. Yes, a GD beer float. Heresy!

I talked to the gal running the booth, tried a couple of their beers, kept shaking my head a the thought of the float. Yes, she offered. Walked around the booths, had another of her beers, walked around some more. Came back a third time, still shaking my head. Aw, what the hell?

Got my little plastic cup, she put a small ball of vanilla ice cream in the bottom, topped it up w/ about 3" of a decent peanut butter stout, added a straw. Stirred it up, melting the ice cream into the beer, et voila! Wasn't half bad. Wouldn't repeat the experiment often, but it will definitely be tried again the next peanut butter stout I pick up.

Back in highschool I worked at a gas station that had a wendys attached. Ate many a fry dipped in chocolate frosty. Good stuff. Haven't had one in years though. Not much of a fast food guy anymore.
