Been wanting a bigger and better cut off bandsaw for some time, and the last while I’ve been getting into bigger material, so decided it was time to upgrade from the little 4x6 import.

So, weather pending, I’m headed about 1100 kms to Winnipeg area to pick up a Hyd-Mech S20 this coming weekend.

The downside of this addition to the shop is the fact that it looks more and more like a major re-arranging has to happen to make it all fit.

Going from 4x6 to 13x18 is going to be a game changer here in the shop.

those are good saws, a guy i work for has 3 of them

ill take a look, i think he runs a 4 or 6tpi blade, they cut like a hot dam, im sure youll be happy so long as you can make the space, they are not small

I’ve found 3-5 and 4-6 varipitch blades available. I think there’s three blades with it. I’ll have to do some hunting to find a fine tooth blade for thin stuff.

they cut everything with the wildy coarse blade

.100 wall tube is probably the thinnest material that goes through that shop, you just need to be a little slower with the feed. I wouldn't make it a huge priority to find new blades unless you are cutting thinner than that.
