  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

Hey all, new guy here, bumped into this page because of a search for info on the old "can I run a 3ph motor on single phase" query, and thanks to Rauce, my mill is now running! hopefully I can learn more tips and tricks from everyone here! master electrician, auto service and heavy diesel technician by trade, so no stranger to wrenching or pulling my wire, have a small Rockwell Beaver lathe that we've used for 20 yrs now, and it was time to step up the home shop, this First LC 1 1/2 VS should be a huge help! already bought an indexing head and a rotary table, this should prove interesting! let the chips fly!!

Welcome from farm, country south of Chatham. Only an hour west on Talbot Trail.

I grow rocks, fix busted farm equipment, and make the odd cool thing.

Welcome aboard. As you have discovered, this group is great at sharing knowledge. Enjoy the ride.
