Missing it's tailstock no doubtI’ll jump in the guessing pool.
Standard Modern Utilathe 1960’s vintage
The base looks like cast pieces, did S-M ever come with Cast Bases? Thats more a early 50s or earlier era machine no?I’ll jump in the guessing pool.

So its def not a Heavy 10, or at least not the age/era I was thinking of as the H10 has cast legs at the tailstock end, and not a square base like the one in the ad does.Cast Iron base, my first guess is Southbend Heavy 10

This one is almost identical to the one @JustaDB is buying from me.Yes, I had one for awhile. Regret selling, great lathe, but it wasn't the pedestal style that one looks to be .... i.e. the base ran the length of the lathe with shelves
trip down memory lane ..... found a photo.... miss that lathe

It's worth $.07 a pound as scrap metal. It appears to have a cast base and if it in the 12" x 36" range it would probably weigh close to 1000 Lbs. So $70.00 delivered to a scrap yard.
Yay!!!! We are in anticipation.I'm going to see it at 6pm
Wanna bet he won't let you take pictures?I'm going to see it at 6pm
Must bring your own shrinkwrap to wrap it back up if you don't buy it.Do you have to take a borescope so you can view through a small cut in the plastic, or will the seller actually open it up?
