Modern brand mill 9x49 3hp r8 spindle digital readout variable speed with coolent, bonus tooling, vice and 10" rotary table.

Those eastern guys...What is with all these good priced mills in Ont?
Right on!Well, happy to say I've just upgraded my milling capabilities.
Seller was a really nice fella, pursuing a new direction in life, and needed it gone to accommodate the sale of his home. He threw in a ton of tooling and such, the rotary table and 6" vise, and sold me a nice Tig welder he forgot he had.
The mill was, aside from some light rust on the bed, in new condition.
Thanks for the find on this one, it's a huge addition to the shop, and I'll be sure to pass on the good karma again!!

What a deal!
I'll be picking it up in a couple days, should be less epic than the Lillian 5V that I was considering; 2250 vs 4500lbs, lol. Pics then!Awesome! Annnd of course we need pictures
What a deal!
It's an easy recipe, which I've learned from all you fine folks here on CHMW:Foe sure, You suck. Good buy.
The mill was free.He threw in a ton of tooling and such, the rotary table and 6" vise,
Essentially. The dusty crawl space welder he threw in for an extra $500 turned out to be a Miller Multimatic 220, the rotary table is a 10" STM. I'll post pics when I pick it all up. He was a little braggy about the new Porsche 911 GTR he'd just ordered, so I had no ethical dilemma; he wasn't exactly hurting for cash. The mill was free.
It's an easy recipe, which I've learned from all you fine folks here on CHMW:
-I promised myself I'd spend no more than 10% of new retail on anything for the shop build; therefore the wife is happy, thus I am happy.
-I don't haggle on price when it looks to good to be true, I just go.
-I inspect the hell out of the equipment, top to bottom. I'm standing there, with cash in hand; nobody cares if I spend an hour looking at their machine.
-It's cheaper to rewind a 575v motor to 220-3PH with a VFD, then wait for the right machine.
-U-haul doesn't charge mileage on trailers.
-I never ever bring friends to help, because they will always find a way to tell me somethings wrong with it.
-I don't let bad paint and dirt overrule good bearings and ways.
-Always look for the M in the casting for Mehonite.
-If someone else needs it, sell it to them for what you paid, and bank some karma points with the machine gods.
-Despite what the stamped rating is, a Dodge Ram 1500 from Enterprise with unlimited rental miles can easily carry a 2400lb surface grinder, a 600lb surface plate and a 300lb crate of mag plates at highway speeds. Ya, sure, the rear wheels drag on the fender wells like a Carolina Squat, but that's what the $17 "All Perils" box is for on the rental agreement....
Happy hunting!
I was referencing my friends, lol. Lazy C*nts the lot of them. They're all scheming bastards who would sell their grandmothers for shiny tools.I just can't concur with the don't bring a friend for help. I'm too old and decrepit to move heavy machines alone. But I also have a brother who thinks almost like I do but it a fair bit more impulsive so he needs me to prevent him from rash decisions and not the other way around.
I heartily recommend that anyone looking for larger equipment that is common in 575V find a local motor shop and start building a relationship with them
Commenting on the 575v issue. It isn’t a big deal to get a small transformer 575-240 in 3 phase.
