  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Not sure its a deal, but a cool old lathe nonetheless, unsure of brand.

'LARGE" is not a size. You will get a lot more interest by finding the brand name, swing over the bed, swing over the cross slide, gap or not, distance between centers, electric voltage, motor HP, chuck size, other tooling included, and on it goes. When you say "accurate" what do you mean? HOW accurate from what measurements?

Looks as if it has lived a fairly hard life and I would be very surprised anyone would be in that price range unless it has a bunch of decent tooling.
 
I would agree - and it's never a good sign when the only two pictures are from 10' away and half the machine is covered by a tarp.
 
That lathe looks a tad ‘neglected’.
A decent machine that is looked after is cleaned occasionally !!
I think the ‘original chips’ are still in the tray.

Bed Length ?
Motor size ?
Electrics ?

I think someone is just scoping it out what they can get for it.
