Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Been a year or two, but I paid that for my first Myford, an ML7...

I still see the odd Myford pop up at not all that much more than that, considering the difference in build quality...

Suspect trevj, your local market is better supplied with Myfords than Manitoba. I do see the odd ML7 and more frequently Super7’s here, but a fair amount higher than this ads far eastern lathe. Like double or more.

Having said that, if was looking (I’m not) I would definitely agree with the subtle suggestion of trevj- not that great a machine for the asking price.

I bought my first Myford in Saskatchewan, so, probably comparable to about anywhere in Manitoba.

They are not exactly thick on the ground anywhere, but you find what you look for...
