I've got a part of the business that makes self dumping hoppers..... obviously more b2b, but we'd love the support if anyone needs these in their business. Competition is Uline and Global who are more expensive and afaik source from the US. We've a loyal following, but its hard to beat the big guy's marketing reach

This is a great place, very friendly. I’ve bought off cuts here for plate steel. Their hoppers are very well made and very good prices.

Thinking back to the motorcycle picture thread and the number of riders here, this company might be of interest to some for good compact tools. More focused towards the dualsport and adventure market, but all Canadian made and local to Calgary. I just picked up the Single Track bundle with the tire repair tools to carry on my GSA.

EngDuro

I gave up on (well actually my body gave up on) enduro riding at age 69. Loved it and also ice racing. Lots of big smiles while riding my Sherco.
I bought plenty of accessories from Lang's Offroad (Rob Lang is an awesome guy to deal with). They were mostly from USA's Enduro Engineering. I will be telling Rob about EngDuro. Tks

I guess I'd assumed it had come up, but... Spaenaur! Hardware, based in Kitchener, Ontario. Will do split boxes, if you need 12 and the box is 50, and they're great on the phone. They'll send you a catalogue for free, last I checked. If you're a steady customer, they'll do samples, which helps when you're designing a product, or, uh, say... need one metric set screw, in a non-metric shop. :)

Not shop/tool related but, for those who like bourbon and looking for a viable Canadian solution, Signal Hill, produced in St. John's Newfoundland.

I'll have to try that!

I can also recommend Bearface, from BC, for anyone who likes whisky with more character, into Bourbon territory.

For gin, I quite like Sheringham's Seaside.

Hmm. Maybe I should just move to BC...

I'm a huge fan of Dillons Distillery in Jordan, ON. Great gin's, and their Rye No 1 is a treat when it gets released each year. They ship to all provinces as well.
I/we always have Pear Gin, Rose Gin, Cranberry Gin, Dry Gin 7, Amaro, Rye and Rye 1 in the house (we are sippers, not drinkers). The fact they are 15 minutes west of us helps a lot :) All local ingredients.

If you like gin...I highly recommend Empress 1908, from Victoria BC
In the bottle, it's one colour, when you add tonic to it, it changes .
It's my better 3/4's preferred sip

Thank you, Stuart. I'm now onto my 2nd bottle and I like it. I really like it. The first few drams tasted strong, it is 42.5% alc/vol, but now I really like it. And though it doesn't mention what grain it's made from on the bottle, it is distilled from single grain corn. And at $40.00 per bottle, it fits the budget. Thank you.

This is from Vernon, made in the Kentucky Bourbon style. We taste tested it with Maker's Mark and it's way smoother (more expensive too) but a real Bourbon flavour. The 3 bottles came Canada Post. My wife is happy again.

Apparently they grow the corn in central BC and the oak barrels are from Kentucky. Which makes sense. Other than Garry Oak on the west coast we're not really the right climate for that type of material.
