Food wise, support your local Farmer too. I just got home with a 1/4 cow from a friend of mine down the road. Great Beef, best around, but I am biased.

Petro Canada.

I’ve been a die hard Supestore gas guy. Love the 7 cents a litre off. But now they are Mobile.

Yesterday when I got gas at Pedro Canada I see they give 7 cents off per litre if you have an RBC Visa.

RBC is Canadian also, so I’ll be getting a card. Nice I don’t have to pay the extra for gas, but I was willing to.

We need to even out our imports to exports with consumer goods and capital goods. We import a lot more of these than we export. We do good on raw materials. We export way more than we import.
How about the Pop Shoppe
If you count the services they sell to us the balance sheet is pretty much equal. Nothing lopsided there at all.

Anyone ever buy from this company?

Never heard of them until now.

Looking at their website they remind of another Canadian company:

Uline

When I was in my last supervisor job I ordered a fair bit of product from Uline. The cool part was you could select a "free" gift of which $ value was based on the size of order. Once the gift was received we would have a draw amongst all the staff during a safety meeting. If your name was pulled it would stay out until we went through all the names. I kept my name out since it was my deal. Everyone, including management, liked the idea and the gift selection was pretty good.

Apparently, one of my predecessors kept all the gift items for themselves.

If you get the phone app, I think it gives you 10c/liter. My wife uses it.

Thank you @DavidR8, GREAT THREAD!

Gost looks like a great find for someone who has an almost impossible time finding a tall work shirt since Marks Work (poser) Wearhouse lost control to the bean counters. (Their line is we don’t stock them because we don’t sell many….how can you sell anything if you don’t stock it!? </rant>

Nice to see we have the Stanfields (Truro NS, about 45 minutes up the road) long johns covered too! ;)

Gost’s prices look good too.

D
