Machine KMS/MAGNUM 4x6 metal bandsaw - check your blades!

Machine
Good to know! My other suppliers have no stock at the moment. That blade from PA is 1440mm, 1460 is the correct size and 1480 is too long.

Well, if the PA blades are an inch too long out of spec like your KMS blades, they'll be perfect... :D

I've had Starrett blade for both my 4x6 and now 7x12. On the small saw they functioned perfectly, best investment. On the larger saw not so good as their welded joint was not perfect and cause issues.

I switched to blades custom made from

lower cost by a 1/3, longer life by at least 4 times because of the assembly quality.

Will they do saw blades for the smaller saw??? Don't know, but they do have a great product and their blades don't skip as their alignment, grinding and assembly is perfect.

I will Starrett credit they did try and solve the problem, but I think it is their subcontractor that is messing up their quality along with the cost based on their name.

Forgot to add, don't waste your time with regular blades use I believe M42 blades (steel and treatment type).

I TIG weld my baldes. It works, just have to have some practice. I cannot simply get the blade welder to work properly - maybe when they say 3/4 in they really mean it cannot ever do 1" or I simply suck at doing this.

Blades should be correct length - if they are not and you have to fix them they should be sold for like 1/10 of the price on auction.

Anyone needs 1" blades? I have few with large teeth.
