  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. @Chicken lights isnt the only one with a line between friends and tarps.

There is also a limit between friends and the size of the ask. It's one thing to ask a friend to grab a fixture or a chuck or even a rotary table and drag it somewhere for me, but a full size piece of machinery like that is a whole nuther level of ask. Especially since I couldn't even be there to do the lions share of the work on that end!

Much as I'd love a surface grinder, and especially a smaller manual one like that, it's just not in the cards.

I think it's perfect for a Prairie member who needs it.
 
Any idea what the Paragon HT oven went for? I know they make a lot of different models but I was just curious. You don't see them come up very often.
