  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

Found these in my toolbox

Yup that's them. The guy I bought the head from sent a pic but had no idea. The first pic he had them on thier side so I didn’t see the V grooves. Sorry there's no prize other than this, "atta boy".

demoed a fixture plate that he used to turn his rotary table into a much bigger one.
(demonstrated it at the Ontario meetup). Yes - a fixture plate works great to make a 8” RT perform as if it was a much larger RT. But they are 2 pieces and are easy to manage (weight). I think a fixture plate for a RT is an awesome accessory (cheap, light weight, and easy).
Really, couldn't you turn it to size on your RT on the mill ?
I guess i cheated. I cut it using the plasma cutter. I thought 14” was about the right size but 13.5” was the largest I could cut out of the 5/8” scrap plate that I had.

I could have used the RT and mill to give it a nice smooth edge, but I like the plasma cut marks.

This is DEFINITELY on my project list! I love it! Just need to find the steel plate.
