I am trying to restore an old Canadian drill press, same as a Buffalo. I need to remove the only remaining down arm, which looks like a friction fit. Suggestions?

Heat possibly, if it's friction fit. Were the other arms the same?

I would try it. Nothing to lose, it is stuck and you want it out…
Yup nothing to loose but in my experience when heat is needed just propane is often not enough heat.

I believe on my drill press those arms are threaded in but it is of Asian origins

What do the other 2 holes look like Threaded or pressed?

If its truly stuck cut it off and drill new holes for new arms. I also think its threaded. On the other hand there are no flats on the handle for a wrench so maybe not?

If pressed and seized, Kroil (or your favorite penetraing oil) (I'd soak entire part for a week) followed by heat......
