Hi there. I am looking to build a little machine shop in my shed. I have machining experience, And am looking for a 12 ish by 30 ish lathe to start. Thanks for the forum.
 
...From across the straight - North Cowichan. Lots of used machine tools generally available in your part of the world, although many might be larger than is ideal for you.
 
Another welcome from the Island. Yes, I see machines in that size range on the mainland. One does have to be prepared to jump though.
 
Welcome from south of Calgary, good luck on building “just a small” machine shop. Sometimes they grow faster then you can imagine!
